Sven Siebrecht

Sven is a graduate student pursuing his LL.M. at Harvard Law School. Originally from Germany, he earned a law degree from Georg August University of Göttingen before beginning to research and teach international and constitutional law at Humboldt University of Berlin, where he also volunteers as a legal advisor for migration and asylum law. In his doctoral project, Sven is scrutinizing the multi-level legal framework of the European Union’s external environmental and climate change policy. At Harvard, he is focusing on the inherent tensions between majoritarian democracy and climate change. A passionate climate advocate and member of Harvard’s Climate Leaders Program, Sven is committed to exploring how the law can be better leveraged as a tool to preserve our planet.
