Jérôme Gautheret
Editor-in-chief, Le Monde
Working for Le Monde since 2002, Jérôme Gautheret began his career at “Le Monde des livres” before joining the international section as deputy head of service. From 2016 to the end of 2022, he was the correspondent in Italy for the daily newspaper. He is currently editor-in-chief, dealing with “obituaries” and the major historical surveys. With Thomas Wieder he is the author of Ceux de 1940 (Fayard, 2010) and Faire la paix (to be published in spring 2024).
