Roberts Zīle

Vice-President and Member of the European Parliament, European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR) political group

Roberts Zīle has been a Latvian Member of the European Parliament since 2004 for the National Alliance party, part of the European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR) political group. Following his re-election in 2019, he became Vice-President of the European Parliament. He is a member of the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs and of the Committee on Transport and Tourism. He is also a member of the Delegation for Relations with the People’s Republic of China. Previously, he served as member of the Latvian Parliament, and as Minister of Finance and of Transport and Communication.
