Frances Fitzgerald

Member of the European Parliament, Vice-Chair of the European People's Party (EPP) political group

Frances Fitzgerald has been an Irish member of the European Parliament since 2019 for the Fine Gael party, and Vice-Chair of the European People’s Party (EPP) political group. She is a member of the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs, and of the Committee on Women’s Rights and Gender Equality (FEMM). She is also a member of the Delegation for Relations with the People’s Republic of China. Previously, Frances Fitzgerald served as Tánaiste, Deputy-Head of the Irish government, as well as Minister for Justice and Equality, for Business, Enterprise and Innovation, and for Children and Youth Affairs. She was a Teachta Dála, member of the Irish Parliament, for 18 years.
